However, it was surpassed by the Carolina Reaper in 2013. It is a variety created in England by a farmer named Gerald Fowler who is a member of The Chili Pepper Company. Siling demonyo is an unstable three-way hybrid from the world's hottest peppers, namely Naga Morich, Bhut Jolokia, and Trinidad Scorpion. The fruit is about 113 to 553 times hotter than Jalapeno and is approximately 2 to 3 inches long. It is elongated and wrinkly and sports a bright red appearance when ripe. When tasted, the pepper tastes sweet, fruity, and tangy before is slowly burns the taste buds as it unleashes its pungency. Due to its unstable nature, however, there is a wide variety of heat, look, and flavour present. It is typically used in scorching sauces and rubs, but it should be noted that a small pinch will have to be used each time.
